Freck Beauty, the Los Angeles-based brand that launched products with faux freckles, has chosen Alexandra French as their art director.
French, a makeup artist, is best known for her work on HBO’s second season of “Euphoria,” working with department head Doniella Davy. The TV show, which premiered in 2019, set beauty trends and attracted viral moments, drawing her attention to her makeup team.

“As a makeup artist, I’m lucky to be able to play and experiment with so many great beauty products,” said French. “Most are good. Some are great. But only a few stand out. Freck [Beauty] he is one of those who stood out and absolutely amazed me. Beyond their iconic freckle pen, a favorite, the entire line encourages you to take a product idea and make it unconventional, like the liquid liner that contains lash-enhancing peptides. That’s what I’m so excited about in this role, exploring the boundaries of what a beauty product can be, both on and off set. “
Launched by Remi Brixton in 2017, Freck Beauty has expanded to offer a range of cosmetics and skincare products. The brand is sold directly to the consumer and by Sephora in the “clean” category.
“I love what Remi often says, that he never wanted to launch a product that has been done before,” continued French. “I’m always up for a creative challenge, and that’s the one I can get behind.”
