How to Track Your Macros

Knowing how to track your macros (short for ‘macronutrients’) can make a big difference to your fitness goals. Diet and physical activity are closely connected, and if you don’t pay enough attention to your daily diet, you may struggle with losing weight or building muscle mass.

“Tracking macronutrients can be helpful to give you a high-level view of your overall food intake,” says nutritionist and lead scientist Dr Claire Short. For many of us, that’s impossible without tracking our food. Tracking over a period of time is also helpful.
