How to watch Angel City FC vs Portland Thorns

Angel City FC got a week off to refresh and on Friday, they will be back in action as they host Portland Thorns for the first time at The Bank.

Angel City recently suffered a 1-0 loss to OL Reigns on June 18. It was a loss, obviously, but despite that Angel City seemed to match up well enough against their Seattle foes, who just needed a push to deliver clear results at the top. She may have got it with the addition of Sydney Leroux this week, but it looks like she will be out for this match, so we may have to wait a little longer to see her in ACFC kit on the field. .

The Thorns were coming off their biggest win in league history, a 6–0 loss to the Orlando Pride on June 19. They’ve had a really good June and are behind San Diego at the top of the standings. , with the game in hand. Needless to say, he is likely to stay for the rest of the season.

Except… the big hope is that the Thorns will honestly be missing half their starting XI on international duty next month. Angel City is only missing one starter for the same reason, Vanessa Gilles, although her absence is nothing to sneeze at for the stretch side. But I’m not so bold as to think that Angel City should demand a win under these circumstances, Portland has developed their squad depth so well over the last year that this is still a good chance for the Angels to get a result. Here’s hoping they can pick up points with a good performance.
