In a series of hilarious artworks, fans get an idea of what would happen if the King of the Hill characters were in Junji Ito’s horror world.

An artist for the next 2023 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film took the iconic works of the legend of horror manga Junji Ito and mixed them with the classic sitcom king of the Hill in a hilarious new work of art. king of the Hill continues to delight fans after more than a decade of absence. Even though the show has come to an end, people still remember the adventures of the Hills and their community of Arlen. It remains so popular in fact that creator Mike Judge has announced that a king of the Hill the revival is in the works and will be characterized by a time jump. It is a show that has certainly stood the test of time.
Junji Ito is also a creator whose works have become loved by fans around the world, albeit for very different reasons. His horrible style of he gives readers a glimpse into the uncanny as he specializes in body horror and the realm of the supernatural. One of the most famous works of him is Uzumaki, which follows a city cursed by spirals to the point where people’s bodies begin to warp – soon to get an official anime adaptation on Adult Swim. Outside of Uzumaki, Ito is also known for his short fiction. These range from tales of mysterious holes forming in mountains, tempting people to climb inside, to an underrated story that redefines nightmare fuel with puppets. Ito’s style has become influential around the world and it shows with this unexpected crossover with king of the Hill.
Woodrow White, a visual development artist for the foreseeable future Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, began posting works of art on Twitter that combine the two unexpected properties. In these images, White takes the lovely cast of Arlen, Texas, and catapults them into the terrifying world of Junji Ito. So far, only two of Ito’s stories … Uzumaki And The enigma of the amigara fault – have been referenced, but they are great choices. It’s amazing to see how well the style is king of the Hill it is confused with the horrible world of Ito. Seeing fan-favorite characters like Bill Dauterive, Dale Gribble, and Boomhauer being distorted to fit the manga artist’s signature style is both hilarious and majestic.
Responding to fans on the pictures, White reveals the use of images, “Junji Ito’s illustrations and screenshots from KOTH, with a few minor drawings here and there on my partGiven that White has managed to make the Hill family and their friends blend so seamlessly into Ito’s world, it’s amazing to see that so little has been changed, with king of the HillS’s art style blends strangely well with Ito’s world. It appears that they actually belong to these pages. It’s amazing to see how just a couple of small tweaks can take two radically different properties and make them seem like they’re always meant to have a crossover.
At the moment, White has only created a few of these hilarious pieces, but with Junji Ito’s never-ending well of inspiration, hopefully more are to come. Stories like Airship suspended And Palace of the Marionettes would be just some of Ito’s scariest stories that could have a twist in Arlen, Texas. TMNT artist Woodrow White has created something special with these king of the Hill And Junji Ito mashups and show that even the most hideous artwork can have a hilarious twist under the right circumstances.
