Often considered a foil to Ted, former team captain Roy Kent is always seen with a scale and tends to shout rather than speak calmly to those around him. Although he lacked his coach’s signature charm, Roy eventually won over fans with his rare moments of vulnerability, especially shown in scenes with his niece, girlfriend Keeley, and Ted. Despite his gruff demeanor, Roy is shown early on to be protective of those in need when he defends Nate from Jamie’s bullying. Although he’s a bit of a softie on the inside, Fisher-Price has definitely nailed his tough exterior in adorable fashion.

At the end of season 2, the status of Roy and Keely’s relationship was left somewhat ambiguous, with Keely insisting that they were still on good terms. Additionally, Roy must consider the idea that he may be a negative influence on his niece, which is a problem, as he is coaching her school’s soccer team after retiring from AFC Richmond. With plenty of drama awaiting him in Season 3, Roy’s scale is sure to return to the silver screen before too long — and now it’s immortalized in toy form.
